Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d Follow On Social Media

TTT was created by The Broke and Bookish and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl (click here for upcoming TTT topics!).

Today’s topic: Characters I’d Follow On Social Media! I’ve tried to keep it to characters that I haven’t yet seen on other people’s lists yet.

Nikolai Lantsov from Bardugo’s Grishaverse

Nikolai never fails to crack me up and he’s so smart and unexpectedly wise sometimes – if he had a blog or Twitter I’d definitely follow it!

Also his Instagram because just LOOK. (He’s my top book boyfriend.)

Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring from ‘Heartstopper’ by Alice Oseman

These two would have such fluffy adorable Instagrams! And I’d love to see their photos with the rest of Charlie’s squad, they’re such wonderfully supportive friends.

Sophie from ‘The School for Good and Evil’ series by Soman Chainani

She’s literally one of the most iconic characters I’ve ever read, let alone within the series itself! I’d follow her on…pretty much every platform, probably.

Jesper Fahey from ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo

Out of all the ‘Six of Crows’ characters, Jesper is most like me – and makes me laugh so much! Plus he’s gorgeous, especially in Wada’s rendition.

Baz Pitch from ‘Carry On’ by Rainbow Rowell

Other than being a fashion icon, unofficial hair model and probably the most gorgeous, kind, generous vampire to ever grace this Earth, Baz also has an absolutely sizzling narrative voice that I’d love to see in social media format! Probably Twitter or Instagram.

Mr Kindly from ‘Nevernight’ by Jay Kristoff

The shadow-kitty on the left there (sorry Mia, but I love Mr Kindly more!). He’s so sassy, loyal and just the standout character of ‘Nevernight’ and I think he deserves to dominate #catsofinstagram!

Simon Spier from ‘Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda’ by Becky Albertalli

I related to Simon on an astronomical level and I’d follow him on everything. I’d probably even make a TikTok account if he had one, just to follow him.

The Ark from ‘I Was Born For This’ by Alice Oseman

Um, I mean, hello, just LOOK at those OUTFITS

Oh and also they make hella good music… Also will forever be half in love with Lister (left)

Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes from ‘Harry Potter’ by J.K. Rowling

10/10 believe that Fred and George (and later Ron) Weasley would’ve made a store Instagram if they had social media in the wizarding world!

Thanks for reading! Who’d be on your list? Do we have any of the same?

  1. OOOH Simon is a great pick! He’d be so cute and funny. I’d want to follow Blue too to see them interact. Ahhhh be still my heart 😍😍😍

  2. I would for sure follow Mr. Kindly, but only if the adorable shadowy cat images are combined with a sufficiently snarky and pessimistic caption. It can’t be *too* cute, after all. That would ruin his aesthetic. A store Instagram for WWW would be absolutely wonderful!

    Here’s my TTT post.
