#SixforSunday: Six characters I’d name my kids after

#SixforSunday is a fun weekly meme created by Steph @ alittlebutalot – check out the upcoming prompts here!

This week: Which characters would I name my kids after?

Now this is tricky… do I pick just names I love or should the character also be worthy of naming my child after? Some characters who I absolutely LOVE have names that I wouldn’t choose – e.g. Chaol because the way I pronounce it is exactly the same as how I say ‘kale’ 😂

But I’m up for a challenge, so here goes…

Six characters I love enough to name my kids after:

  1. Minya (from ‘Strange the Dreamer’ by Laini Taylor)
  2. Dashti (from ‘The Book of a Thousand Days’ by Shannon Hale)
  3. Jes/Jesper (from ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo)
  4. Baz/Basilton (from ‘Carry On’ by Rainbow Rowell)
  5. Threnody Noon (from ‘Railhead’ by Philip Reeve)
  6. Tric (from ‘Nevernight’ by Jay Kristoff)

Thanks for reading! Who’d be on your list?

    1. Now I’m reading through the whole list and the way ‘Khagan’ is written I think is for people with an American accent. And now when I’m reading the names out loud I sound vaguely Australian, especially with “Celaena” 😂
