¡Hola! everyone! Hope you’ve been having a nice week so far – how’re we two weeks into April already?!
Just a quick post from me today about testing out my new pocket brush pen from Pentel – I’d heard loads about this pen and decided to try using it to ink a leftover pencil sketch of Carry On‘s Baz Pitch that I drafted for Inktober 2019 (prompt: DARK)! Needless to say it resulted in a totally different style (not that I really have a typical art style anyway).

Overall I think I like it, especially the texture you can get with different speed (like with the cave/tunnel walls) and how thin the lines can go. I was so nervous doing Baz’s face though! I added some text/accents with the Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen (in Copper), shaded background with Staedtler Mars Graphic 3000 Duo (#803) and tried (in vain, as you can probably see) to cover up an ink bleed from the previous page in my sketchbook.
Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried using brush pens before? Hope everyone has a good Easter weekend and take care 💕
