This week: ten titles that sound like band names!
Without further ado…
‘Solitaire’ (by Alice Oseman)
I’m getting dark, bass-heavy, electronic rock music vibes from this name.
Wayward Son(s) (by Rainbow Rowell)
Definitely sounds like a country band to me!
Aurora Rising (by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff)
I keep getting electronic/nightcore vibes from this name. Maybe an electro-pop band?
Noughts & Crosses (by Malorie Blackman)
I think this would be a great name for a duo – maybe a singer/rapper duo!
Daisy Jones & the Six (by Taylor Jenkins Reid)
Is this answer cheating? I mean the book’s based around a fictional band of the same name isn’t it?
Everything, Everything (by Nicola Yoon)
I’m getting a cute folksy, maybe country band feeling from this name!
The Kingdom (by Jess Rothenberg)
I’m sensing this could be a worship music band!
‘Monsters of Men’ (by Patrick Ness)
I mean isn’t there already a band that basically has this name already?
‘Enna Burning’ (by Shannon Hale)
Probably some kind of indie-rock band that releases angsty, intense music.
‘Cemetery Boys’ (by Aiden Thomas)
I can sense a funny origin story here. Like two kids who meet in a cemetery and somehow decide to form a band.
Thanks for reading! What did you think of my picks? Let me know in the comments!

Love your title choices! Especially Wayward Sons and Enna Burning. 😀

Cemetery Boys is a fabulous band name that would definitely require a funny backstory to its origins.

I like “Wayward Son(s)” and “Solitaire”. And *lol* I actually thought about using “Everything. Everything” for my list as well. XD

If there are not at least 3 Kansas tribute bands named Wayward Sons I am disappointed in the world, tbh. Also, I accidentally made the typo “Wayward Songs” while writing that comment and now I’m thinking, that’s definitely an album name, right?

Epic album name idea!! It would be hilarious if a band called Wayward Son released an album called Wayward Songs…maybe a greatest hits compilation?

Nice choices! Wayward Sons reminds me of that song, “Carry on my wayward son, don’t you cry no more …”
Happy TTT!

Thanks! I think Rainbow Rowell was definitely referencing that song in her title given how the book before that was called ‘Carry On’…I feel like I need to go listen to that song now 😂
