I was inspired by Maisy over at Hawthorn Book Reviews‘s lovely bullet journal spreads and today I’ll be sharing some of my own reading journal pages!
I always thought my reading journal was very messy and haphazard – as far from aesthetic as possible, and I am terrible at ripping washi tape – but I posted a flip-through reel on my #bookstagram that people surprisingly seemed to like, so I guess maybe it’s not so bad 😂
I do my monthly spreads like this – mainly to organise and plan my #bookstagram posts:
My monthly spreads are mostly about organising and less about art, but I do try and keep it neat and somewhat pretty 😂 The prompts in each day are a mix-up of different monthly photo challenges – I like to blend different ones together to come up with a post idea.
I’m currently planning a BTS-themed bookstagram photo challenge for May, I’m really excited! I made one for Alec Benjamin’s songs back in September last year and it was so much fun.
I also love drawing little book spines for my review notes – I scribble down my thoughts before I type up a full or mini-review:
The one I drew for Rumaysa is my favourite and probably the most detailed one I’ve done so far – I was trying to match the book cover!
I also drew out a page for the BTS readathon that ran back in March!
I had a lot of fun playing around with my water brush pens, I think my favourite is the heading for j-hope!
